Lit2Go

  • Lit2Go (University of South Florida) - mps3 & pdfs of stories, fairy tales, poems, etc.
    • (usually literature produced before 1923, i.e. the classics)
    • Text for the audio stories is embedded in the metadata of the mp3 and shows up on the iPod (but is too small for most primary students) - but the text is also available on the website as a nicely formatted PDF
    • Literature collections include...Aesops fables, The Great Big Treasury of Beatrix Potter, Tom Sawyer...
Lit2Go in iTunes (Search iTunes U)
  • Audio files can be downloaded from iTunes - large collections can be downloaded all at once (but all large collections are broken into chapters or stories)
  • Example on Lit2Go in iTunes - The Tale of Peter Rabbit Reading Level 5.4

  • Database - browse or search by author, grade level, title.
  • mp3 to download; Nicely formatted PDF of story to download
  • Description and activities
